Getting Consent and Notice Right Under India's DPDP Rules
AI Governance, Risk & Compliance Track · Certified DPDP Consent and Notice Specialist
Consent and notice are where DPDP compliance is won or lost, because they are the only obligations a customer sees. This course is a practical build course: learners take the collection points their organisation actually operates — web forms, apps, call centres, in-store capture, WhatsApp flows, partner channels — and redesign each to DPDP standard. It covers the mechanics that most programmes get wrong: granular purpose separation, withdrawal parity, consent records that constitute evidence, multilingual delivery, and the treatment of data collected before the Act commenced. It also addresses the awkward commercial reality that compliant consent reduces collected volume, and how to design for consent rates without compromising validity.
Learning objectives
- 01Redesign any collection point to meet Section 5 notice and Section 6 consent standards
- 02Build granular, purpose-separated consent without destroying user experience
- 03Implement withdrawal that is demonstrably as easy as giving consent
- 04Maintain consent records that function as evidence before the Board
- 05Handle legacy data collected before commencement defensibly
- 06Deliver notice and consent across languages and low-literacy channels
